A working meeting took place between the Director General of the Ukrainian Geological Survey (UGS) and a representative of Traxys.

The Director General of the UGS, Oleh Hotsynets, held a meeting with Steve Walsh, Managing Director of Traxys, a company engaged in supplying critical raw materials to global markets.
Oleh Hotsynets informed the foreign partner about the available proposals for developing critical mineral deposits, briefed him on the existing legislation, and outlined the government’s plans to announce, in spring 2025, tenders for signing production-sharing agreements for sites containing critical mineral deposits
Steve Walsh noted that Traxys is already doing business in Ukraine, exporting ilmenite abroad, and is now considering expanding its operations. This includes the possibility of obtaining subsurface use rights for deposits of critical raw materials for extraction, processing, and further refining in Ukraine.
The parties agreed to continue the dialogue with the aim of initiating and implementing projects in the mining sector.
